Non-Stop Marmalade
Dec. 7th, 2013 11:43 amThe jet stream has moved south, so we're having a spate of really cold weather.
One morning was 23F, which is a record. I'm covering and heating the lemon and avocado tree, and also picking lots of lemons and making marmalade. The fruit is the most cold sensitive, so I'm being cautious and picking most of it rather than chancing my protecting it on the tree.
I can make seven quarts at a time, and will run out of sugar by about Tuesday.
