I planted 6 rows of little seedling onions, and have 4 rows of red onions left to plant. It's forecast to rain again tonight, so I'll have to wait until the ground somewhat dries.
I'm reading a British spy novel, written 20 years ago. What's ruining it for me is the
heavy-handed portrayal of an American private investigator. He snaps his fingers in a London bar if he wants a drink, and calls people "pal". It's silly and stupid, and points to a hack writer.
It could be that the writer knows it's nonsense, and he's just pandering to his British readers.
