Pogi Vs The Otter
Jun. 30th, 2014 08:32 amPogi zeroed in on a large otter at the creek this morning. The otter took to deep water, but was challenging the dog, doing tight turns on the surface, maybe trying to lure Pogi into the deeper water. Pogi stayed close to the bank, and I drove the otter back with rocks and finally got my dog on leash.
Even though Pogi really wanted to get this otter, he had enough sense not to dive into the creek after it.
A little internet searching tells me that otters are aquatic weasels and can kill dogs.
Halo isn't keyed to hunting, and simply watched all the drama from the bank.
