More Dogs

Here's Halo on this morning's walk. It seems that modern DNA testing has established that the Australian Shepherd has substantial native American heritage; Dogs that came over the Bering land bridge with the AmerInds. Maybe that's why he looks wolfish. You can see the creek in the background. Pogi is way out there, not easily visible in this picture.



This one is Pogi nosing around by the creek. I believe he's a border collie, but with the red and white coat instead of the conventional black and white. Both dogs are rescue dogs, without papers, so questions do exist about their heritage.

I'm reading The Secret History by Donna Tartt, and enjoying it. She won a Pulitzer prize for The Goldfinch, which I haven't yet read,
