Another Pit Bull Attack

I've lost count-this might be number six. The dog was loose and quickly lunged at us from the underbrush. Pogi fought it off, and got a few minor wounds, and it moved off.
I may get a concealed carry permit, and start shooting these dogs.

Realistically, encountering these fucking vicious pit bulls is probably the most dangerous situation I'll ever be in. Wild animals have a fear of humans, but these canine killing machines always advance. It's something that Pogi will meet them head to head, but he always gets hurt. You should have seen the terrible damage they did to old man, as he was lifting up his little Yorkshire terrier to protect her.

US Navy Hacking Into Millions Of Civilian Computers In The US.

The Navy’s primary law enforcement agency has been conducting illegal surveillance operations against countless civilian computers for the past several years, a federal appeals court found last week.

Documents obtained by the Courthouse News Service reveal a 2010 case in which a Naval Criminal Investigative Service Agent in Georgia used an advanced surveillance software program known as “RoundUp” to scan every civilian computer in Washington state for child pornography.

NCIS Agent Steve Logan was able to locate one suspect, Washington-resident Michael Dreyer, and immediately turned the information over to police, who subpoenaed Dreyer’s internet service provider with the FBI. Dreyer was charged in federal court after the officers, and Homeland Security at a later date, used the illegally-obtained data to acquire a search warrant for his house.

Well Pump Blues

Ridiculously high ($2500) estimate to replace the well pump. My neighbor's brother is an electrician who has done it a number of times, and I'm hoping he will help me do mine. Tomorrow, I'm going to test the depth of the well and the water level.

The total well depth is 70 feet, and there's 20 feet of water in it. So at these point, a pump replacement is indicated, but we're going to test the pump amperage again to confirm that it's bad. If I can save 2000 bucks by doing it myself, I will.

I put in a replacement controller, and established that the pump has a mechanical defect. The next stage is to open the well and pull out the pipe and old pump. Big job.
I'm going to borrow the tripod and a special pipe clamp.
