Hard Cider And Dogs
Feb. 6th, 2015 08:09 pmI'm planning on fermenting some apple juice to make hard cider. When you freeze hard cider, and pour off the liquid it's something even stronger, known as apple jack.
A pack of little dogs snuck up on us, when Pogi and Halo were occupied by cats, but before they could bite, Pogi quickly spun around and bit the leader of the pack. They all ran off. It was clearly self-defense, as those dogs are little, but uber-aggressive and have bitten my dogs in the past.
Later when we got home, Pogi jumped the fence to guard his territory against a scary hundred-pound stray Rottweiler. I went and got my pepper spray. The Rottweiler sort of greeted Pogi, and there was no aggression, and when the intruder continued on, Pogi came right back. A few types of dogs are crazy-violent, but most breeds seem to be reasonable, and may posture a bit, but won't usually fight.
