Sneaky Browser Trick

I thought I had disabled flash a week ago, but was still seeing intrusive auto-run video ads. I delved deeper into the control pages and saw a single meek little asterisk hiding in a list of pages allowed to control flash.

This little * is a default that ALLOWS (even if flash is disabled) any and every ass-bite advertiser to waste my time and system resources. I deleted it, and I'm now free of flash ads.
