I was reading about common health issues with Australian Shepherds, and at age 9, Halo seems to have dodged them.
One other thing that I've read is that Aussies need a job, and Halo has at least 2 jobs.
He leads and guards us during the off the leash morning walk through coyote country. I make a point of following him when he decides on a route. He regularly looks back to check on Dinah and Jack and I.
He also often rides along when I drive somewhere. He stays in the car and guards it when I park.
