23 and me had a new genetic heritage update for me.

I'm still overwhelmingly (over 99%) European, but they're finding traces of all sorts of diverse groups.

I would post it if I could, but they seem to have disabled
cut and paste.

Suddenly, they have identified markers for Ashkenazi Jew, Middle Eastern, Sudanese, West Asian and North African, as well as West African. I linked my sister to the results, to get her opinion.

To be honest, I'm a little skeptical.

"Although we've detected Sudanese DNA in your ancestral breakdown, we have not identified more specific locations that your recent ancestors may have called home.

Although we've detected Ghanaian, Liberian & Sierra Leonean DNA in your ancestral breakdown, we have not identified more specific locations that your recent ancestors may have called home.

Broadly Arab, Egyptian & Levantine
Broadly Western Asian & North African"
