My work neighbor sold motor scooters and skipped out a few weeks ago. The property manager finally began clearing out his unit. I scored 3 new but partially assembled Chinese made motor scooters for free, because I am a nice guy. Maybe I can assemble two complete scooters out of the 3 chassis that I have.

I can lift them, maybe 100 lbs each. They have one cylinder, 4 stroke, 72cc engines, but stock they only displace 49cc, in order to fall under some regulatory classification. I found a site that describes how to return them to 72cc, and if you want to buy parts, to 125cc. I took a hard look at them this morning, and it looks like I have enough parts to rebuid two of them. They all have like 3 miles on the odometer and the tires look new.

The engine is a Honda design, and these tuning sites say they when tweaked, these scooters will go pretty fast. In the Philippines, everybody is zipping around on 125cc bikes.

I remember looking at the gun section of a reproduction 1908 Sears catalog. They sold rifles designed to be attached to the hadlebars of a bike.
