A commercial truck dropped chunks of concrete in front of me on the freeway and broke my windshield, mashed my bumper and screwed up the front grill on my Ford F250. The idiot was hauling dirt and used some loose pieces of broken concrete to hold down the tarp. You better believe I pulled the guy over and got the CHP over there to write up an accident report. I call it dirty luck, not bad luck, because I wasn't hurt, the guy has insurance and the police report lists him at fault.

Eventually his insurance company must make good, but even getting the accident report will take time. I drive hundreds of freeway miles every week, and see the craziest shit out there. Statistically, driving is the most dangerous thing to do.

i hear you. with exception of some fairly bad motorcycle accidents, i have never had an auto accident in over 50 years of driving because i Always assume everyone else on the road is drunk and/or crazy.

This guy had a load of dirt that was tarped, but he held down the tarp with 10lb chunks of concrete laid on top of everything. One false move and the blocks of concrete dropped off and came flying back at 50mph into oncoming traffic.
