Archaeological Update

I found an old foundation as I was cleaning the SE corner of the yard. It's the corner of a structure that I first found when digging the vegetable garden. It's right on the edge of the lot, leading me to believe that it's from before the land was subdivided. On Google maps, you can still see the previous house that burned down in 2004, and this foundation predates that house. This area was settled in the 1820's, when it was Spanish California, and I'm always uncovering bits of pottery and assorted junk when I dig anywhere on this land.
