robbyHalo just caught and half-killed a young possum. He brought it back into the yard, where I finished it off with a shovel. I don't really like this, but it's his nature. We now have eau-de-possum wafting throughout the house.

I looked up opossums of the interwebs, and now I'm wondering if I was too quick with the shovel. It's possible that the possum was "playing possum" and if I had moved it to a quiet area it could have just walked away. At the time, I thought I should put it out of it's misery.
