Epic Collapse

After a deep garden watering, my big Nopales cactus collapsed, and took out some bean plants. I never water the cactus directly, but obviously it picks up water, this time so much that it split.

I'm sorry to read this. Having almost no experience of growing cacti, I don't know whether this means the end of the plant or just a setback.

It's about half gone, and what's fallen is a mess, so the cleanup will be a big job. I've picked up from on top of the bean plants, and I don't know if the bean plants will recover, but the cactus will grow back.
