Hard Work

Today, I worked five hours rebuilding the fence. I'm always too optimistic, and not only was it harder than I had imagined, but I also ran out of good pickets. I had some new pickets, but expected to re-use more of the old ones. I just took some Advil, so I'll be able to walk the dogs at 6:30.

Sounds like a productive day! I hope you don't get too much muscle stiffness today or tomorrow - the 2nd day of course is usually the time that stiffness gets strongest. Did you order the extra pickets yet?

Right after, I was having joint pain in my back and knees. An Advil and laying flat for an hour fixed me up enough to walk the dogs. I'll be gentle with myself today, because on Tuesday, there is more hard work to do.

I can just swing by Home Depot with the truck, and pick up some more pickets. On close inspection, there is also a section of horizontal beams with termite damage. So that has to be rebuilt, as well, before I paint.
