At first light, I'm watching Pogi stalk slowly across the lawn, cocking his head and carefully listening, and then diving mouth first into a gopher hole. For all the damage that he does out there, I hope he does catch the occasional gopher. I've been busy, so I've not been baiting them properly, and I have lost the battle. Pogi fights on.
