I just canceled my land-line telephone, and went from AT&T copper dsl to AT&T fiber optic U-verse, at twice the speed (3 Mbps) and half the cost ($25/mo). I hope there are no hidden surprises, that I will later regret. My routers are obsolete, but they are sending a new fiber optic modem/router for free.
