Japanese Fringe Trees

I managed to prune one tree before dark, and also cut out some tiny sprigs of returning mistletoe. I have one more to prune, and then I want to chip the branches that I've removed. The trees are dormant now, so this is the time to do my cutting. In springtime, they also will need some fertilizer.

These are the trees that I had severely topped early this year, and I'm cutting off the lower branches that have popped out of the trunk and lower limbs.

Hooray, I finished pruning the second (and last) tree. The chipping is somewhere on my agenda, but not a priority.
