Here are the three cats that always hang around.





I believe they're sisters. The orange cat has grown large and insists that I sit down and pet her regularly. The tabby is now very sweet, but was the most feral when she arrived, about a year ago.

This is Cali. She is quite old, and was living in a field across the road for years. She was originally someone's pet, and has slowly moved into my garage. She is jazzed about regular feedings, and adjusted to life with me and the other cats, and now seems happy and relatively healthy.

Two other cats were absent on picture day. The three sisters showed up young enough, it seems, to be domesticated. Two others are abandoned pets. There's just one male, and the females limit his presence. It seems in cat colonies the females don't welcome males. They all now behave like pet cats towards me, and I do take good care of them.
