Puppy Rescued

Early this morning, on our walk, I found a little puppy. Just a baby, that must have been dumped at the side of the road. Halo was extremely jealous and upset when I picked up the puppy. He would snatch the puppy away with his teeth, but thankfully, Halo used his gentle bite and not his prey bite. The puppy followed us home anyway. I won't keep it, but I'll try to find a better disposition than immediate death or starvation.

What are the options? Here, I'd call the RSPCA.

The best option would be a private rescue group. We have a governmental animal control and SPCA but a percentage of their dogs eventually get euthanized.

I'm glad you saved the little puppy guy. Can you see some kind of breeding or is he or she a mutt?
