I'm disgusted that a high profile pedophile was allowed to violate boys for so many years. I'm convinced that all sorts of people knew about it, including his wife. She did not even protect her adopted son. The miserable bastard will eventually die in prison, and lawsuits will punish the people and institutions that should have stopped it.

i keep reading posts about how this was part of a massive conspiracy and he was the only one they prosecuted on reddit. i hope that's not true.

Who knows? He ran a charity for "at risk" youth, at that alone was a magnet for his brand of pedophile.

I hope the shots had him in clerical robes. Cardinal Law? Boston? Federal crime. Obstruction of justice crossing state lines. I want him in cuffs and cardinal's garb. You realize the AG, in any state or the US AG could subpoena Church records at any time. There are multiple witnesses willing to testify. There is no statue ot limitations where an organization is concerned, if the law says otherwise the law is wrong.

Agreed. I recently read IAmA pedophile posts on Reddit.com, IAmA is a format where if they post an IAmA, than they will answer questions honestly. Most were pedophiles who never molested and vowed they would never do it but talked about this desire they had for children. It makes me want to vomit, and pity them, but secretly feel the only resolution will be when we genetically weed that gene out. It added layers to the knowledge I've gathered over the years watching Oprah and her fight against child molesting. I also watched "the woodsman", Kevin bacon is a released child molester, he tries to live a normal life with a job and a girlfriend, but he struggles, nearly fails, sort of a sympathetic movie. But it touches on the fine line between those pedophiles that control themselves, and those who can't fight the impulse. Leaving us with this huge problem, how do we control these monsters that live amongst us???

Actually I meant secretly feel they need to be removed from society, physically. And also, in even posting an IAmA, I thought they were gratifying their needs by discussing it online. Gross.

I've read that therapy doesn't really work with pedophiles, and "chemical castration" can be subverted. I'm thankful that I never encountered them as a child, but strangely enough, one creepy neighbor kid grew up to be an arsonist and child molester, and eventually had to be institutionalized.
