Garden Update September 1

I found the time to water the almond tree, harvest and eat 10 cactus fruit, and square away the butternut squash. I came up with a secure way to support the nine developing squash, and then removed the additional flowers. These nine now have about two months to mature. Butternut squash is said to be both easier to grow and better to eat than pumpkins.

The birds have started eating the cactus fruit as well, but I don't mind sharing.
