robbyThe second glaze firing went much better, after I rearranged the kiln shelves and then fired cooler, to cone 06, which read as 1700 degrees F with the pyrometer. The pyrometer was registering low when I first started, so I turned the heat up too quickly, and cracked one piece All in all, not perfect, but a decent result,.The pieces are not so glossy, and on the next try I'm going to go a bit cooler still.
