Dog Training
Mar. 3rd, 2013 06:21 pmPogi has again started jumping over the fence, and I'm trying to train him not to. When he does, I go and get him, tell him he's a bad dog, and put him in the garage for a short while. I'm hoping that this method will work, as I don't want to replace the fence.
He's pretty good minding me on walks, but he gets super excited about certain things, and goes frantic, sort of losing his mind.
Halo is not nimble enough to jump the fence, and has a mindset that makes him want to follow the rules. When I bring Pogi back from his jump-overs, Halo wants to correct him, as well, for being bad.
Halo found Pogi about 18 months ago, and I could tell they really clicked. I used to worry that Halo was sometimes bored, and Halo would act up if I left him alone, but with Pogi around now, that has all ended.
