Garden Update
Aug. 25th, 2013 05:01 pmHarvested the first summer squash, and also sprayed the squash with organic horticultural oil to control aphids. I haven't seem the flea beetles that destroyed the crop last season. There are no pumpkin fields nearby, which seem to generate such horrible swarms of them.
I'm in the middle of picking lots of Roma tomatoes again. I have two gallons, and I'm going to wait an hour and go back to pick some more.
The lone Brandywine tomato bush is full of green tomatoes, some getting large, but none have begun to ripen.
