robbyWe got a long look at a coyote pup as it broke from a newly mown field and ran a few hundred yards back into the deepest boonies. There was probably a mother coyote around but she was too clever to be easily seen.
In the field, we found the remains of a large snake that was killed by the mower. I spent a moment looking around for the tail, so I know that it was a gopher snake, not a rattler. The little coyote was probably cleaning up all the varmints dead from the mowing.
