Garden Update

robbyThe beans are up, but not the squash. I miss fresh lemons, but have marmalade and salted lemons put away. There actually is a handful of lemons still left on the tree, but they're small and green. I'm almost out of garlic from last year, but the oregano is growing well, and I use that in lots of dishes.
Plenty of fresh peas and green onion tops, and I've been eating lots of nopales cactus, The new pads are coming in, and I'm getting good at removing the spines. I'm even planning on freezing some for later.
I found what I think was a large rat torn to pieces near the garden. I know there are feral cats hunting back there, but why didn't they eat it? Maybe I cleaned it up too quickly, and if I'd come back an hour later, it would have disappeared.
