Tomatoes In Early July

robbyI picked the first two Roma tomatoes today, with many more left to ripen. I have 17 Roma plants, and 3 Brandywine tomato plants. The Brandywine plants are quite large, and in full flower, but have no tomatoes yet.
I finished "The Black Dahlia", thinking it was written by the highly touted Elmore Leonard. It was pretty good, but not remarkable. Then I realized it was someone else, James Ellroy, who wrote it. The setting of Los Angeles in the 40's was interesting.
One author I like, Michael Connelly, writes similar novels, but set in LA of the 1980's and 90's. I remember that era, and it's amazing how much has changed in the last 25 years.
