It's hard to get current temperatures with the common weather websites. They usually display the temperature of an hour ago. In the afternoon, I like to wait until it's begun to cool down, and then walk the dogs. I guess the best solution would be a personal weather station. The new ones connect via a Wi-Fi signal. Sprinkler controllers are the same. You program them from a pc, and the signals are all transmitted wirelessly.

It's also difficult to find watch batteries. The cross references are difficult to use, and when you find a compatible battery, local stores don't stock it, and it takes a week to get. I guess a watch battery is a low margin thing. I'm starting by getting a battery for an old 1990's Casio G-Shock watch. It's collectible now, and mine has been sitting with a dead battery for years. I'm also buying some tack putty that supposedly will allow me unscrew the backs of some metal watches that also need batteries.

An interesting note: There are avid collectors now for the very early digital watches. Do you remember the first ones with red LCDs?
