Farm Report For December 20
Dec. 20th, 2014 12:42 pmI cleared all the tomato supports from the south bed, and carefully removed the drip irrigation lines. I still have to pull out the gopher cages, and then work compost into the soil.
I'll transplant onions and garlic into that bed about February 1. I may also plant peas early next year. No frost yet, and I haven't yet needed to use the furnace.
I still have a glut of fresh lemons on the tree, even though I've picked and processed about 50 lbs of lemons. I have Brandywine tomatoes growing in the main bed, and I may pick those in the next few weeks.
I'm reading up on pruning the plum trees, but I'll wait for colder weather.
