Hard Bargaining With AT&T

Every so often, my promotional DSL discounts expire, my rate doubles and I have to go to the mat with AT&T. After negotiating with three AT&T reps and calling Comcast and DSL Extreme, AT&T finally gave me a good offer to keep me.

18 Mbs/second for $31/month.

I'm exhausted, but it was a good outcome.

It's a challenge to bargain for a good rate, and these companies count on most people simply paying what they're told to pay. 18 Mbs/second seems fast to me, so I really should start streaming movies, and such.

No, but I had to fight them for this rate. They initially wanted me to pay $57/mo for 12/mbs.
