I Think I Have A Job

I received a tentative offer today, and they are now checking my references. I will be a middle school science teacher at one of the best school districts in the county. I filled out so many applications and went on so many interviews! Night classes, substitute teaching, five hour subject matter proficiency tests!

Update: My references have checked out, and I've been recommended for hire!

Yes, thank you. I'm very happy. I was getting discouraged, but I finally ended up with a wonderful job offer. My references are all legitimate, but they are being carefully checked.

Thanks, I'm very pleased. Right now, they're tracking down the 3 teachers who gave me references, which can be a little difficult on summer break. I took the first proficiency test just about 10 months ago, and now it looks like I have a plum job.
