Garden In Transition
Sep. 10th, 2010 02:10 pmJust planted the last of my scallion seeds, but hope to collect some more scallion seeds from my first planting. I've already collected pepper seeds and arugula seeds for next year. My first big pepper (anaheim pepper?), was ok, but not even as hot as a jalapeno. I wanted to grow small hot chili peppers, but the starter plant was mislabeled, so I ended up with this other variety.
The squash are winding down, and I can now only find enough for cooking. I'm increasingly in competition for squash with some mystery beast of the night. I've put away so much squash, so I'm glad for the rest, especially because it's time to harvest tomatoes. Soon I will pull out the green beans and one eggplant, and plant some winter broccoli.
