Medical Update
Jun. 14th, 2011 04:54 pmI had an overdue physical today, and my blood work was good. I don't have diabetes or prostate cancer, and in general, I'm in good health.
Except that I also heard from the nurse practitioner at the Dermatology clinic, and I think she said the spot on my forehead is one of the less deadly types of skin cancer. She caught me at a bad time, and used a lot of medical jargon.
They want to cut it out using the "flap procedure" which takes 40 minutes and costs $1,147, in addition to the $475 that I already paid for the biopsy. I put in a call to get clarification.
