Saturday Update

I've been watching the storm on internet doppler radar. It's stalled to the west of me, and that allows me to do some more mowing. The grass is growing so fast that even little cuts will almost stall the mower. Pogi sat outside the fence while I mowed, and behaved very well. He sat where he could watch the neighborhood bad dog, who is actually his friend. Often when he runs away he goes over with the bad dog, who does not even bark at him.

The fringe trees are in leaf now, and both look nice again. The Zutano avocado is developing the beginnings of new leaves. Both avocado trees got through the winter in better shape than last year. I'm now going to be careful with nitrogen fertilizer, as that could limit their flowering. Instead of ammonium sulfate, I'm just using coffee grounds.
