A Vat Of Pudding

I'm mixing ten gallons of slip, and it's still too thick. I've been adding water and sodium silicate in tiny increments, all the while stirring it with an electric blunger.
I might need a tiny scale in order to weigh a measured amount to calculate specific gravity. One I get some experience, this will be easy, but now I'm pretty low on the learning curve.
