Garden Update May 10
May. 10th, 2012 08:16 amI've planted more lettuce, and a row of beans, and the peppers indoors. I'm starting on the chain link fence today. I don't need to buy much, as I've collected most of the fence parts already. It's wonderful being a hoarder. (Actually, I don't think true hoarders actually use the stuff they've collected.)
I'd like to get the fence up quickly, as my tomatoes should be in the ground by Mother's Day.

Half done as of Thursday. I was working in the afternoon sun, and thought I had gotten a sunburn, but I'm fine. I'll try to finish this morning. I couldn't put every post exactly where I wanted, as there are too many surprises underground. My property has been inhabited for almost 200 years, and is an archaeologist's dream.

Finished on Saturday. I had to block two small openings at the edges with cinderblocks, where I couldn't sink posts. I may eventually build brick columns there, but I have a new dog-proof garden plot, and I hope to transplant tomatoes into it tomorrow.
