The butternut squash are flowering, and my plan is to let only 3 squash per vine develop. The idea is to focus the energy towards a limited number of fruit, so they mature by the first frost.

I finished rebuilding the slip pouring table, the last challenge was to replace a bad gasket around the drain valve. I couldn't find the exact replacement, but got clever and cut two rubber rings out of an old inner tube.

Three of the five rodent traps in the garden were sprung, but no dead critters.

We had slight monsoon sprinkles a few times today. I need to work on mounting the rain water collection tank.

The internet is the best library ever. I wasn't sure about watering the almond tree after harvest, and it turns out that this is actually the most important time to water.
