We're now at twice the normal seasonal rainfall. It's not widely reported, perhaps because it's counter to the "climate change" scenario that the government and media are pushing.

A Live Journal friend posted a doom and gloom drought expose this summer. The author was detailing agricultural land nearby, and was using it as an example of the terrible drought. It was deceptive, as the fallow land was in truth, damaged by high levels of salt, and was in the best of times only marginally productive.

I cleared all the tomato supports from the south bed, and carefully removed the drip irrigation lines. I still have to pull out the gopher cages, and then work compost into the soil.

I'll transplant onions and garlic into that bed about February 1. I may also plant peas early next year. No frost yet, and I haven't yet needed to use the furnace.

I still have a glut of fresh lemons on the tree, even though I've picked and processed about 50 lbs of lemons. I have Brandywine tomatoes growing in the main bed, and I may pick those in the next few weeks.

I'm reading up on pruning the plum trees, but I'll wait for colder weather.
